Download the WordPress plugin

Install the early production version on your WordPress site. We’re continuing to refine it and release updates.

The production plugin download will be available here when Akashic launches.

Install it. Connect your practice. Open your doors.

You’ll need administrator access to a WordPress site that allows plugin uploads. Use your practice’s own HTTPS domain.

  1. Upload and activate

    Download the ZIP above. In your WordPress dashboard, open Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin. Choose the ZIP, select Install Now, then Activate Plugin. Leave the ZIP compressed.

  2. Open Akashic in WordPress

    Choose Akashic Health Records Patient Portal in the WordPress dashboard menu. Follow the setup screen to create your practice and first administrator.

    If a contractor has already enrolled your practice, use the installation code they supplied to connect this site to that practice. If you already have an Akashic practice but no installation code, arrange the connection with your practice administrator or support before creating another practice.

  3. Finish your practice setup

    Follow the first-sign-in instructions, accept the required terms, and complete the ownership and privacy-agreement steps shown for your practice. Then work through the setup checklist: your practice details, locations, services and staff access.

    Your Akashic login is separate from your WordPress administrator login.

  4. Create your two portal pages

    In Akashic, open Portal Pages in the Platform Manager workspace. Create the patient and staff pages, choose their titles and URL slugs, and save. The plugin manages the portal content on those WordPress pages.

  5. Invite your team and welcome patients

    Invite staff in Akashic and give each person the role they need. Share the staff portal address with your team; each person signs in with their own Akashic account. When your practice is ready, add the patient portal page to your website navigation so patients can find it.
